A: There is a misconception that Broadway is about belting out high notes and singing louder and higher than the next person to get the job. WRONG!
In this class you will learn these things:
1) How to ACT your song in a simple and specific way . This is the most IMPORTANT element in an
audition. It is not about how high you can sing, it is about conveying a story and a specific take on a
song so that you can walk in and make an impression.
2) How to present yourself in an audition, including how you come across in an audtion room and how to hone your own individuality and personality to get them to notice you AND GET THE JOB!
3) How to incorporate both your ACTING and VOCAL technique in an audition by working one on one with Jodie and a vocal coach to learn how to channel your nerves and learn what is getting in your way.
