Service Description

Students will be guided through a brief warmup (please come somewhat warm) and then we will begin working on repertoire (songs and/or monologue). Topics covered: Vocal technique, song interpretation, audition cuts and audition preparation, discussion about managing nerves and anxiety (“stage fright”), physical awareness, visualization, college audition preparation, monologues, building your book, career coaching, and expert advice. Specifically for music: Please come with a song prepared (or in progress) and the corresponding accompaniment tracks (karaoke track is fine). As your work with Deanna progresses, Deanna will suggest songs and/or monologues that will build your book of repertoire, challenge your vocal and artistic growth, and strategically set you up for success in achieving your goals. Deanna works with students ages 6 and up and believes that understanding your singing voice and wholly interpreting a song and its context is a holistically rewarding experience that enhances all aspects of life. Beginner students are welcome. Upon booking, students will receive a Zoom link to be used for the session. I am available for in-person lessons with prior coordination.
