She first dreamed of being an actress when she was 9 years old and saw Annie. Since then she has been in twelve Broadway shows. Some of her favorite roles include Belle in Beauty and the Beast, Penny in Hairspray, Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors, and Kira in Xanadu which earned her a Tony nomination. Most recently Kerry appeared in Mean Girls and Beetlejuice. Kerry has also crossed over into film and television with roles in The Miseducation of Cameron Post, Honor Society, 30 Rock, Gilmore Girls Reunion, Law & Order: SVU, and The Mindy Project. Kerry loves working with children and young adults, and feels very privileged to pass on all she has learned. Lessons with me are personalized, supportive, and designed to help you grow as both a singer and a storyteller—while building real-world skills for the professional theatre industry. We’ll begin each session with a tailored vocal warm-up, focusing on healthy technique, freedom, and wherever you feel your voice needs strengthening- I am especially good at helping people find their mix. From there, lessons are shaped around your goals and where you are right now. Areas we can work on include: • Vocal technique and strengthening your unique sound • Building and refining your audition book • Acting through song—making clear, honest, and compelling choices • Scene work to deepen acting skills and emotional connection • Audition technique (in-room, self-tapes, callbacks, and nerves) • Career counseling—training, mindset, and navigating the business If you’re auditioning for or performing material from a show I’ve been in, I can offer specific insight, guidance, and context to help you approach it with confidence and authenticity. If you want strictly a voice lesson, please have two songs ready to go with accompaniment- karaoke version is fine.
